A Chinese traveler, Fa Hian visit to Yeep Po Ti and stopped at Poly. Fa Hian said Poli as a prosperous country, the king of elephants on horseback, dressed in silk and crowned with gold. At that time they still practice Buddhism Mahayana and Theravada. According to some members of the government Poly is one of the first government in Aceh, which was recorded in history. Some say the government is the blueprint Poli Pedir Government.
