Aceh in 1042 AD

The establishment of Islamic kingdom Salasari which is the forerunner of the kingdom of Samudra Pasai. Salasari kingdom was founded by refugees from the kingdom Peureulak who was already attacked and overpowered by the kingdom of Srivijaya. His first Sultan Meurah Khair, which was held under the name of Mahmud Shah Maharaja he ruled until 1078.
