Ibn Battuta (24 February 1304 to 1368 or 1377) is a Moroccan Berber nomads. He was born in Tangier, Morocco between 1304 and 1307, at the age of about twenty years Ibn Battuta set off Haj pilgrimage to Mecca. When finished, he went on his way up to 120,000 kilometers across the whole of the Muslim world (about 44 modern countries). Ibn Battuta recorded visit Aceh when sailing along the coast of Arakan. Ibn Battuta arrived in Aceh, Indonesia. precisely in Pasai Ocean. Ibn Battuta stayed there for 15 days and meet with Sultan Mahmud Malik Zahir. After his visit in Aceh Ibn Battuta then continued his journey to Canton via the Malaysia and Cambodia.
